MUSICIANS ON CALL HOSTS EXCLUSIVE, INTIMATE FIFTH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION IN LOS ANGELES

The event featured live performances from Echosmith and Morgan Evans and presentation of Golden Ukuleles
MARCH 1, 2018 – Musicians On Call (MOC), a nonprofit that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities, celebrated five years of delivering the healing power of music in Los Angeles on Feb. 28 with an exclusive event at Avenue in Hollywood. Multi-platinum Warner Bros. Records recording artists Echosmith and Warner Music Nashville artist Morgan Evans performed for the crowd. Also in attendance were MOC supporter guests Kelsea Ballerini, Rachel Platten and Sam Hollander.
“Through the support of our volunteers, donors, corporate and hospital partners and board members, Musicians On Call has delivered the healing power of music to more than 20,000 individuals since bringing our program to Los Angeles five years ago,†said Pete Griffin, Musicians On Call President. “We were thrilled to host this special evening and show our appreciation to everyone who helped us reach this milestone. A special thanks to Echosmith and Morgan Evans for their fantastic performances, and to our gracious supporters Kelsea, Rachel and Lindsey for joining the celebration as well.â€

The night also included a special presentation of Golden Ukuleles to Los Angeles Outstanding Volunteer Guide Jean Clark and Outstanding Volunteer Musician Beau Wammack for their commitment to MOC’s Bedside Performance Programs at area hospitals. Clark has been a Volunteer Guide since the Los Angeles programs began in 2013 and has participated in more than 100 hospital visits. Wammack has played for more than 900 individuals in his three years with the program.

Musicians On Call (MOC) was founded in 1999 with the mission of bringing live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities ranging from children’s hospitals to adult facilities, VA hospitals and hospices. To date, its volunteers have played for over 625,000 patients, families and caregivers across the country. By delivering live, in-room performances to patients undergoing treatment or unable to leave their beds, they add a dose of joy to life in a healthcare facility.
