NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (January 22, 2020) – Singer / songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Chris Janson kicked off 2020 by commemorating his third chart-topping single, “Good Vibes,†at the first No. 1 party Music Row has seen this decade. Side-by-side with his co-writers Zach Crowell and Ashley Gorley, Janson celebrated in a room full of Real Friends from the Nashville community and beyond last night (1/21) at BMI. Even friends who were unable to make it made their presence known with video affirmations – among those who offered their congratulations were Bass Pro Shops founder and CEO Johnny Morris, Kid Rock, Charles Esten, Dierks Bentley (Hot Country Knights), The Cadillac Three and others.
“I am so humbled to stand in front of a crowd and accept a third No. 1 – it was not that long ago that Kelly and I were sitting at home thinking about how one No. 1 song would change our lives,†Janson said. “It’s that pivotal moment of having a third that everyone aspires to as artists because it feels like you’re turning a page and putting a key in a lock that’s finally opening. It just feels absolutely incredible.â€
“Good Vibes†is the first single from Janson’s recent release Real Friends. It has earned more than 86 million streams, marking the third most-streamed song of his career, and 800 million airplay audience impressions. He performed “Good Vibes†on Live with Kelly and Ryan, CMA Fest, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, ELLEN, TODAY and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Janson co-wrote and co-produced all 13 tracks on Real Friends, including yesterday’s celebrated hit and his new single “Done†(watch the song’s music video HERE).
The “infectious†(Billboard) entertainer continues to spread “Good Vibes†through his actions both on and off the road. Over the holidays, he donated instruments to the drumline at his alma mater, Perryville High School, in Perryville, MO, replacing 20-year-old equipment. Janson also gives back through the sales of his signature Bass Pro Shops ball cap. In partnership with Johnny Morris, he donates the proceeds of the hat to three important conservation efforts: Tennessee Riverkeeper, Harpeth Watershed Conservancy and Tennessee Hunters for the Hungry.
Janson is currently on the road for his headlining “Real Friends Tour†through March. Just today he was announced as a featured performer at the Blackbird Presents’ all-star concert King of the Road: Celebrating the Music of Roger Miller at the Grand Ole Opry on March 22. Fans can catch him this weekend in Biloxi, MS and Paducah, KY.
